“I do a lot of things for effect, which is not to say I am superficial, but that I know how to put ideas across.”
— Sebastian Horsley
I hate to write a quote and follow up with another quote, so I’ll paraphrase: Johnny Carson once said in order to learn if America liked education or entertainment more, compare his salary to the salary of the President of Harvard University.
It’s absolutely true, isn’t it?
So what does it mean to you? It means that you don’t have to be entertaining in order to teach, but you do have to be entertaining if you want to get paid.
